All About Me … Sorta
Welcome to SaltyMomLife! My name is Sheila and I am a wife and mom of 2. Like so many other folks, 2020 really rocked my world. I discovered that when it came to God and country I really needed some education.
Ever wish that life came with a handbook? Lord, knows I do! So many times I have thought to myself there has to be a better way. What am I missing? Why do other folks seem to have it so together? It isn’t that I haven’t done well for myself, but I felt like I was stuck. Like this was the best it was ever going to get. Middle America and no more. I decided I had tried everything I knew and it only got me this far (and that was still by the grace of God). So I decided to try something I hadn’t tried before. I decided to read the Bible. I know what you are thinking! Oh brother, here we go again, another preachy Christian. Make no mistake, I wish to preach to no one. I simply wish to share my story. Everyone has one, right? My hope is that you hear my story and that on some level you can relate, which inspires you on a different path in your own journey.
I read the Bible in its entirety over 2021 and a little bit of 2022. (It’s hard to read it in a year, not going to lie!) I continue to read the Bible everyday. I read different versions because I gain new understanding from each one. As I learn I hope to share with you through my posts. In addition, to reading the Bible I also sought knowledge about our great nation. I have always been proud to be American and have been so confused by the anti-American sentiments rising in our nation. So I wanted to learn and know more about what made America great and why we have achieved freedom and liberty like no other nation on the planet. So this blog is my journey for both God and Country.
